He was said to be connected to a ranch that contained a meth lab. If this guy was affiliated in any way with a street gang or an MC (motorcycle club), if he was dealing meth with one entity and then began dealing to one of their rivals or something, he would definitely have ended up dead like this. Here’s what i found after googling 1% MC’s in the Barstow CA area:

While it’s difficult to pinpoint specific 1% outlaw motorcycle clubs operating in the Barstow, CA area with certainty, the Mongols Motorcycle Club and the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club are known to have a presence in Southern California and could potentially have chapters or members in or around Barstow.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

  • Mongols Motorcycle Club:

    • An international outlaw motorcycle club with a strong presence in Southern California.
  • They have chapters nationwide in 14 states and internationally in 11 countries.

  • Law enforcement officials estimate approximately 2,000 “full-patched” members are in the club.

  • The Mongols are allied with the Bandidos, the Outlaws, the Sons of Silence and the Pagans AGAINST the Hells Angels.

  • They have also maintained their ties with HISPANIC STREET GANGS in Los Angeles.

  • Hells Angels Motorcycle Club:

  • Another international outlaw motorcycle club with a large membership and numerous chapters worldwide.

  • They are considered one of the largest “outlaw” motorcycle clubs in the world.

  • Many police and international intelligence agencies, including the United States Department of Justice, the Criminal Intelligence Service Canada, the Australian Federal Police, and Europol, consider the club an organized crime syndicate.

  • Other Potential Outlaw Clubs:

  • The Bandidos Motorcycle Club is another major one-percenter club with a significant presence in the Western United States.

  • The Outlaws Motorcycle Club is also considered one of the “big four” outlaw motorcycle clubs.

  • The Pagans Motorcycle Club is another major club, often allied with the Mongols against the Hells Angels.

Important Considerations:

  • “One-Percenter” Clubs:

These clubs are known for their association with criminal activity, including drug trafficking, violence, and organized crime.

  • Local Information:

While the above clubs have a general presence, local law enforcement agencies would be the best source for specific information about outlaw motorcycle club activity in the Barstow area.

  • Tiefort Rough Riders:

It’s worth noting that Barstow also has a motorcycle club called the Tiefort Rough Riders, which is made up of veterans and active-duty service members from the High Desert. This club is known for raising money for the Veterans Home of California in Barstow.

This ^^ is what it seems like but only good detective work and hard evidence and probably RICO is going to solve this.

i 100% agree. this case seems to have a strong connection to the meth lab found at the ranch in Hinkley. if Jose was linked to that location, then his murder could be drug-related. was he involved in the operation, or did he find out something he wasn’t supposed to? its also possible he was targeted by someone from the drug trade, maybe to silence him.
another thing to consider, who operated that ranch? were there an arrests or known associates tied to the meth lab?
checking police records from that time might reveal people who were involved and could still have information. also, were there any reports of threats made against Jose before his death? if he was trying to leave or if he had a falling out with someone in that circle, that could be a motive.
Does anyone know if the weapon used in the murder was ever recovered? that could help track down the killer. also, were there any vehicles or suspicious individuals reported near the crime scene around that time? this case has been open for so long, but i feel like there are still some angles that havent been fully explored.

All I read was a flyer that law enforcement put out about information on his murder. It stated he was tied to a ranch in Hinkley so I’m assuming that Police have already raided it and now are trying to tie up the murder. I’ve searched and searched and can’t find any other info on this case. So everything you had said is a 100% possibility. Absolutely.

yeah, that makes a lot of sense. if law enforcement already raided the ranch, they must have had solid leads connecting it to something bigger. maybe Jose got caught up in something he couldn’t get out of. its frustrating how little info there is on this case, but the connection to Hinkley definitely seems important. hopefully, more details come to light because there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

Currently it seems like it’s still an open investigation and if there is organized crime involvement, that would warrant FBI involvement so they most likely wont be releasing many details any time soon. Right now it seems like they are just trying to connect the dots so to speak.
