It’s completely baffling that the local news would not be reporting on this and the last operational post by Park County SO on social media is updates on a stray dog.
If PCSO doesn’t know where Katie is, who is coordinating her search and why would they not be soliciting the public’s help? The only logical theory is that they know where she is and will be providing an update soon. If the reality is they don’t know where she is, this silence is concerning!

It really is. Hopefully by weeks end they at least come out with some sort of info. Id hate to think they’re not concerned with one of their own citizens and the welfare of her children.

Well, they are definitely concerned AND they have done a lot of investigative work just from what’s been made public. The amount of stuff that isn’t public probably supports that even further.
But, if they don’t know where she is, they should be expanding their resources. So that can only lead to one conclusion. They know where she is.
The investigative work to arrest and charge Adam looks like a strong collaboration between resources of Park County Sheriff Office, state officials and the FBI which is exactly what should happen. The only confusing part is if Katie could be anywhere among multiple states, someone should be directing the public in how they can assist and identifying themselves as the lead investigative agency.
I bet there’s an update this week.

I checked the Big Horn County Jail roster last night before bed to see if there were any updated charges to Jr’s list and he’s not in there. Isnt it a little early to be sending him off to a prison if he hasnt been tried and convicted??
What you are likely seeing is that since he’s on fed charges and not county charges, they aren’t posting him online.

Occurred at County Road 3FK/COUNTY Road 3JU, in Cody. Approximately 4 miles Straight W of intersection is a vehicle parked in the middle of the two track road-all the windows have plastic bags on them. Assistance provided, Nov. 4.

When and where do we think they were camping? I’m baffled we haven’t heard from law enforcement this past week.
I’ve been part of MANY law enforcement investigations for missing persons and I’ve never seen an agency not using the public as a force multiplier to help find someone and get them back to their family.

In watching/listening to the bodycam footage from Trumann, AR there are a few things I noticed:
-Katie appears terrified and she has a mark on her chin. I compared it against other photos of her but it was not present in any other photos.
-Then, their route from AL back to WY makes zero sense if you were trying to drive the shortest distance possible. He is pulled over in Texas and then again in CO (she is not present in either of these). A police officer later stated they may have been on the way to Texarkana.
-If you follow their path on GPS (Dothan, AL → Trumann, AL → Texas → Colorado → WY). This path makes zero sense…If you followed the two fastest routes, neither Texas or Colorado would be included. It seems like something happened in Trumann and Adam changed the route dramatically.
-It’s a bit hard to hear in the body cam footage, but Adam states they are driving through Trumann and going to Jonesboro. Jonesboro is near the Ozark Mountains, which is important given that it seems like he hid her body somewhere.
-All of this is alleged and are my thoughts based on the details of the case.
I agree that the route seems to be extreme. Like you mentioned they could have missed their exit in Memphis which landed them in Trumman, Ar.
My biggest question….
Where did they go camping at???
He was pulled over on Oct 5th then 4 DAYS later on Oct 9th… If you map from Truman, Ar to Morris County, Tx that straight drive is only 5hrs…but it took him 4 DAYS… so where did he stay?
Did you notice when he was pulled over in Texas that he was heading West Bound on Texas Highway 77 in Morris County, TX which is a road in East Texas that runs slightly south and parallel to I-30….which would have been off the beaten path for him, unless he was out at the lake… So, did he camp in Arkansas or Texas or both?
4 days with that much ground to cover is a lot especially in two big nature driven states. If we knew where they went camping, I think that would gives us some direction on where to go from here.
There are tons of places he could’ve camped at. Especially boon docking. There would be no records of that. In the conversation with the officer in Truman, AR they said they were going to go to Jonesboro… why?? this also is out of the way. They need to go on to Memphis not Jonesboro. Instead he headed southwest … hmm. I understood that video for some reason they had stayed there that night to rest or had been asleep there for a bit. I am a bit confused as to when and where this particular dodge was found with the bullet hole and blood smell was found? Are there 2 separate dodge suvs? this one in the video is clearly black and not purple. It’s an older one maybe late 90s. I read about a purple one 2000s ??
Adam Aviles was sentenced in federal court yesterday to 87 months in federal prison due to him being a felon in possession of ammunition.
The DOJ press release is below. It makes no mention of or references any agency leading a search to find Katie and bring her back to her family.
I have watched this several times and read some comments on Law & Crime video. Her yawn doesn’t seem like a tired one more of a nervous or anxious one. One of the comments someone pointed out that she may have been trying to use the help hand sign @ 1:40. That mixed with giving some important info that may have been what she was doing. I also noticed in the Body cam video they briefly said something about police at a dollar store or something has anyone else heard it or know anything about an incident at a dollar store?? @ 2:26
Does anyone know or seen the Oct. 9th body cam footage from TX? Also is there anymore mention of the pink tote or other vehicle he was driving?
