Haitian community’s are very prominent throughout southern Florida. I have Haitian family in Port St Lucie. They travel down to Miami often. We also have family in Long Island, NY. They do not travel back and forth to Haiti due to the civil unrest and gang issues even with some family members still remaining. I would definitely put the word out in these communities. Let them help.
*it says he is into Voodoo… which I don’t know if that was just a reference to him being Haitian (?) , but if he truly is The majority of Haitian people are very religious. I know my family would turn him in.

Hello Runrbbtrun,

To clarify, the mention of Jean-Marie being interested in voodoo was mentioned for public awareness purposes. That information came from the old America’s Most Wanted website. The reason I would mention something like that is that fugitives tend to have specific occupations and character traits (ex. smoking) that might help members of the public recognizing them.

The mention of Jean-Marie being interested in voodoo is not to define him as Haitian. I am very careful to avoid defining fugitives by their heritage unless it may assist the public in helping to recognize and arrest the fugitive. More often than not, the homicide victims are of the same heritage as the fugitive suspect and respecting the victims is extremely important to me.

Thank you.
I was not aware of how the the post was made. It was just stated the person of interest was possibly into voodoo. That is why I made it an afterthought to my post.
I appreciate you clarifying that fir me. I didn’t want to be disrespectful. Like i stated, ny family is Haitian.
I feel grateful to be able to have insight on these cases and to be able to try to add my thoughts and insight. I feel like this is a fantastic way to help get some answers and potentially start solving some of these cases and help the families.
