Was the totebag investigated, could they determine if it was locally bought? Any information on the green t-shirt, very possible this could belong to the killer. Could they determine if the baby was born in a hospital or could it have been a home birth? Any investigation into women that were pregnant at the time and whether they had their babies?
I’ve noticed there has been no updates since the sample was collected March 19th… Will the results be posted to know if this case has been solved?

As of August 2024: When asked if the 42-year-old woman is related to Baby Angel, Ganrude declined to comment and said, “We’re still working the case. It’s an open and ongoing investigation.” He added, “I don’t want to jeopardize any of the things investigators have going on, so I’m not going to say any more.”

Already submitted a tip, but as of May 6th of 2026 Jennifer Baechle (the mother of Baby Angel) has pleaded guilty in her death.
She received a two-year stay of imposition, and 40 hours of community service as part of a plea deal in addition to the caveat that she can no longer be charged for future crimes or findings about Baby Angel.
I don’t feel like justice was served ESPECIALLY since she is also a suspect in another, extremely similar case, but at least for all intents and purposes this one can finally be wrapped up.
